It's finally Halloweekend! ???
Over the course of Poptropica’s history, there have been tons of creepy moments included in the game! Unsettling islands like Ghost Story, Zomberry, Vampire’s Curse, and Cryptids (to name just a few!) have left quite the impression for many.
Poptropicans, what do you think are the scariest moments from any of the islands? Have you ever had a heart pounding experience that came when you least expected it? Share your favorite frights and thrills with the community in the comments section!

Throughout Red October, we’ve been featuring some of Poptropica’s spookiest moments with players. Here’s just a few that are sure to jog your memory!
Virus Hunter: While Virus Hunter might not be the scariest, the creepy circumstances are a little unnerving given the past year.

Monster Carnival: A traveling carnival full of mind-controlled monsters? Sign us up. The shapeshifting scenes are spooky enough on their own, but the puppet scare and haunted house scenes definitely add to the creepiness!

Ghost Story: This island has one of the most memorable scary moments in the entire game! You’re interrupted while looking through a telescope, with Fiona asking “are you looking for someone?” Although it might sound tame in comparison to monsters and mind control, this scene was one of the first times Poptropica included audio. The human voice breaking the silence was enough to make your skin crawl.
@poptropicacreator There’s 2 kinds of people: those that were terrified by Ghost Story and LIARS. ?? to relive the fright of your life as a kid ?? #nostalgia #scary ♬ original sound - hi
Cryptids: Cryptids Island takes players on a search for evidence proving the cryptids existence. Between the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, and Chupacabra highlights, the island features plenty of spooky moments. But none can top the Jersey Devil jumpscare! The eerie music, dark house, and mysterious thumping set the tone for the Jersey Devil’s terrifying reveal.

? HALLOWEEN COUNTDOWN: 2 DAYS ?
Believe it or not, the Grapple Pap Gift side quest moment where Clareta was introduced. Scared me out of my mind.
same!
same bro scared the snot out of me
11 years old played cryptids with my younger cousin next to me and did not expect the jersey devil to just pop out like that 6 years later and im still not feeling that jump scare lol
I think that the Cryptids Island Jersey Devil scared me the most. My brother was watching me play and we were looking around the screen then BOOM, this face jumped out at us. It definitely my scariest memory on Poptropica because I can still remember all the details today!?
Its totally the floating doll in monster carnival (Sorry for any spoilers)
When I was a lot younger I remember watching my sister play through Cryptids Island. All the videos about the Cryptids scared me to death, but the Cryptid that terrified me the most was the Jersey Devil. Especially because the part of the Island where you had to find the Jersey Devil was super dark and mysterious. By the time my sister got on the motorcycle and started driving through the forest, I couldn't take it anymore and went to complain to my parents about her playing 'scary games' I never got to see the part of the island where the Jersey Devil jump scared you, but I'm glad that I didn't because I was so horrified of it I cried about it every night. I was afraid it was gonna come to my house and eat me. Nowadays I say Cryptids Island is one of my favorites because it gave me that memory with my sister, but it's definitely the scariest.
Cryptids with the Jersey Devil and PLEASE tell me you're working on bringing it back.
When my sister and I played Ghost Story Island, the moment we were looking through the telescope and saw a light climbing up the lighthouse freaked us out, but then the unexpected voice asking "Are you looking for someone?" appearing out of nowhere actually made us scream! We had no idea the game was going to do that, especially considering this was back before Poptropica had any sound at all, so this was our first taste of of it. The fact that Ghost Story Island was able to legitimately scare me like that makes it a very valuable island in my eyes, and I hope I can play it again soon. Other islands gave me certain frights as well, such as the sudden thunder and being chased by the vampire on Vampire Island, the machine face changing expressions as the day passes on Monster Carnival, even the first time I saw the Jersey Devil on Cryptids Island gave me a jump scare!
The voice in ghost story and the shark in mission atlantis was scary. The most scariest moment for me would be the voice in Ghost Story island.
I'm going to have to agree with the shark in Mission Atlantis. It always spooked me.
Hey there, friend, thank you for fixing the costumizer.
The nokken chase on Twisted Thicket, even though the nokken is my favourite creature on twisted thicket because of its doglike features. I guess it was because you could see pawprints coming toward you.and the shark chase in mission Atlantis.
Speaking of which, could we have twisted thicket or red dragon coming back next? It's all right if you guys already have an order, but those islands were great. ALso, could we see some News on Poptropica Realms? Thanks. happy weekend.
